Texas Week of Anti-Nuclear Action

August 5 to 12, 2004

Remember Hiroshima | No Los Alamos Bid | Keep UT Nuke Free

UTNukeFree, UT Watch, Iconmedia, Austin Center For Peace & Justice, Dallas Peace Center, Peace Action Texas, The Student Labor Coalition, The Progressive Students Association, Houston Peace and Justice Center, Texas Radiation Online, and The Peace Farm are focusing this August's Hiroshima and Nagasaki remembrance days on the University of Texas's plan for the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Julie Enszer, the new Executive Director of the Nuclear Policy Research Institute, will be a featured speaker at forums, luncheons, and workshops between August 5 and August 9 in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Arlington and Dallas.

The Texas Week of Anti-Nuclear Action coincides with events in New Mexico focused on Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories, Aug. 4 to 7, in California at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Aug. 8, in Nevada at the Nevada Test Site, Aug. 6 to 8, and in Tennessee at the Y-12 National Security Complex, Aug. 6 to 8.
